“Staircase,” Radiohead’s newest euphoria inducing single, has been officially released into the world in a recorded “From the Basement” session. It’s something new yet so familiar; fitting nicely among the Flying-Lotus inspired tracks from KoL such as “Lotus Flower” and “Bloom,” it makes the public even more confused if rumors of a sequel to KoL will ever arrive.
Two drum sets are included, which appear to be “doppelganger drummers.” The mystery is solved when Philip Selway attests that it is himself and fellow smooth headed Clive Deamer from Bristol jazz-rock band, Get The Blessing.

In the past year or so, Radiohead’s sound has evolved. See below for current released version and the version that was captured live a year ago in NYC.
NOW

THEN

I walk down the staircase
Magnetic pull
Back to the other place
That I cannot go
I’m sending a chopper
To steal you away
The pot is full
Let me take control
Let me take control
The pot is full
Of secrets to be told

Secrets to be told
Out of orbit
And I always will
The pot is full
Let me take control
Let me take control
The pot is full
Of secrets to be told
Secrets to be told
